I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the Merrell Chameleon 4 Ventilator Shoe for use on the JMT or other very long trips. I currently have a pair of ASOLO Fugitive GTXs (in Wide) that I'm quite happy with, but am looking for something lighter for my 2013 JMT trip. I will be going all the way out there from Chicago, so I'm looking to get everything right and settled (with a few long trips in CO) long before my trip.
Any experiences with this shoe or other recommendations for wide feet would be greatly appreciated. FYI, these shoes fit my wide foot shape better than any size KEENs…and the KEENs all felt like I was going to step right out of them.
