Despite the ugly colors, this thing is said to come in at under 6oz. It's also going for $45 on Dept of Goods. Irrespective of price, what can compete with this in terms of weight and warmth? I only know of Montbell, which I generally don't like (spotty down coverage), and Western Mountaineering, which I do–but the flash vest, while coming in lighter than the Stoic, is a V neck.

Thanks.

look at the amount of 800+ fill down in there … that and the fit is what matters the most …

its a vest so i personally wouldnt worry a ton which is a tad warmer … if you want warm, get a hoody

the price looks right ;)

It uses 850+ down–around 1.7 oz. WM also uses 850 while MB uses 800. The WM is also around 4oz in weight–almost 2oz lighter than the Stoic.
