PCT, Ebbetts Pass: Raymond Lake

6/30-7/1
Perfect weather with a lot of Thru-Hikers on the PCT plus Trails Angels doing what they do best. There was a stand set up where the PCT crossed HWY4 with food and drink for everyone. It was a small party of 15-20 homeless people (LOL) eating and resupplying. A great little scene for sure! I talked to a few hikers and staff and then started my to trip to Raymond Lake-22 miles out and back. I started at 10:00am on Saturday and returned to my car on Sunday at 12:00–26 hours of pure enjoyment. Here are few pictures:

A quick and fast trip into the Sierra's which was something I really needed badly!!

Awesome photos, Jay. Just followed your path on google maps terrain, too.

I, too, could use a recharge like that. This June just became the 2d wettest in Portland history.

ahhhh good ole Ebbetts Pass….hiked out of their many times. Nice report Jay!
