Is it allowed? Is it any good? Any particular lake to target?
Thanks.
Jul 2, 2012 at 6:27 pm #1891756It is allowed, with a valid CA license. Most of the lakes have brook trout to about 13 inches. Some of much larger browns.
Sorry, but most people won't post their favorite fishing spots on line, for obvious reasons.
Jul 2, 2012 at 9:34 pm #1891810A limit of 5, I heard in a fishing shop in South Lake Tahoe last week. If the lake is not being planted with fish, or ridiculously off-trail, whatever fish are in it will be pretty wary and hard to catch. Not that it can't be done – I've seen 6 people get skunked at the same lake on the same day that someone else caught and released 60 fish. But he was one of those guys who can think like a fish, be in the right place, in the right light, at the right time and put the right thing in front of them. That's a 1 in a hundred fishermen.
