Hi,
Obviously this is my first post, so I don't know any of you yet, but thank you in advance for taking a look at my question.
I have recently found that the most compact way to pack my Marmot Precip jacket is in a zip lock freezer bag, compressed down to remove and hold all of the air out.
It smushes down so flat that I would love to continue doing this. My only concern is that I'm really compressing the jacket. Is there any concern of damaging the material or it's waterproof qualities? Because it's packed flat, I'm not really concerned about stretching the seams or stitching, but rather putting permanent creases in the fabric, creating weak or leaky spots.
I would love to hear any thoughts on this from those familiar with this fabric.
Again, I appreciate you taking the time to check this out and look forward to reading your answers.
