Can anybody recommend a type of wire that is stiff, but can be bent and shaped repeatedly without breaking? Ideally it would also have some kind of vinyl or plastic coating and be inexpensive.
I'm wanting something I can wrap around an iPhone (weighs 5 oz), then around a tree branch or in a coil on a flat surface – basically a gorillapod, but cheaper and possibly lighter weight.
My first thought is a section of coat hanger, but maybe you folks can recommend something better?
