Last winter I got myself some MEC Schoeller softshell pants. They are similar to dryskin extreme but they have insulation. Can't find what material they are exactly since they are discontinued. I love those pants. The stretchiness makes super comfortable and they are very durable.
I am looking for a similar soft shell pants for summer. They have to be durable. Abrasion resistance is very imprtant. I have it narrowed down to MEC Ferrata which are Schoeller dryskin extreme or Arc'teryx Gamma LT which are made out of Fortius 1.0. Fortius seem smoother which would repel more water . Dryskin extreme seems more rugged. MEC states that they are as tough as denim. Which one of these would take more punishment from abrasion, rocks and bush?
