Random funny thought while reading a thread about no-shelter camping in the desert…
Tyvek Homewrap is pretty darn slick. Can snakes traverse a Tyvek groundsheet?
Anyone have a pet snake to test against?

I have a milk snake and a corn snake and a tyvek ground sheet! I will do some testing when I can get my hands on it again. It will probably be mid-July before I can get to it though.
Tyvek isn't as smooth once you use it a bit. I'm sure snakes would have no problem moving across it. I'll try catching one to test it. Also, my tyvek groundsheet is only 30" wide. Not as long as a rattler.
"Can snakes traverse a Tyvek groundsheet?"
I live near DC, so there's plenty of snakes on Capitol Hill for testing purposes…..
The thought of a suit-clad politician wriggling around on a sheet of Tyvek for our own testing/amusment purposes makes me smile.
Just sayin'.

I think these comments about politicians and snakes are really insulting.
To the snakes.
If they can get on a plane, Tyvek should be no problem.
I forgot all about this until my daughter was carrying around a snake today. I grabbed some tyvek and the snake moved across it with no problem at all. So there's the answer.
"If they can get on a plane, Tyvek should be no problem."
OMG thats funny. Snakes on a plane… LOL
Samuel L. Jackson: "What we got here is a bunch mofo snakes on the mofo plane"
All other movie quotes hide in that quote's shadow.
Well.. there IS Sam L. from Pulp Fiction: "I'm the foot (effin) masta'!"
Yeah Pulp Fiction is a monster of a movie for one-liners
