I'm looking for a jacket that is ACTUALLY close to waterproof, not just DWR tat peels off after a little use.

Is the GoLite Virga any good? It's $80 on Prolightgear at the moment.

Any others you can recommend?

Thanks

Andy,
I have a Rainy River Gore-Tex Pac-Lite parka, size Large, Tall at 32" long, neck seam to hem. Weight 15.5 oz in my size.
This jacket has great DWR, best I've ever seen. But it can be revived by spray-on Techron or Gore's Revivex DWR. I like Techron best. Both are better than Nixwax wash in DWR.

This parka is only $79. in regular sizes, $89. in my size and has MANY nice features. It is Gore's most breathable laminate.

I have a North Face Diad Jacket that seems to work very well. I haven't had it for very long, so have no input as to how it does over time. I would love to hear from others who have had the jacket for a while chime in on it's longevity.
