I need 16 yards of the lightest possible – ~10d – "uncoated taffeta" – Cheap! (under $5 a yard). Seconds are fine. (I'm making "slip covers" for Exped UL7s used in Big Agnes tents to eliminate the "squeaking". I know, I know ….)

I found some junk ripstop at a "survial" site, but it is no longer available.

    Know any sources?

    Thanks.

I have some coyote 1oz rip you can have for shipping. It's not the standard 30d were All used too and isn't as down proof or durable but it is soft. I stopped using it for quilts because of stretch and down proof issues but could work fine as a pad cover, not as light as you're looking for but the price is good;)
