Can you post a pic of the valve? I think Bender used 2-3 different ones so it will help with your question.

My pillow leaked around the valve stem. Not the actual valve itself, but rather the glue between the valve and the fabric. After twisting it to break the remaining glue, I pulled it out, cleaned it, covered it in Shoe Goo and shoved it back in. It holds air just fine now. Sorry, I don't have any experience with the valve itself.

I'll post a picture tonight, pretty sure it's the valve. When I rotate it underwater the bubbles keep coming up from the bottom side of the valve.

Looks like a standard thermarest valve you got a outdoor shop that has thermarest repair kits close by

I have REI and Sports Chalet. Do they offer that sort of service?

REI most likely sells the repair valves then do as the poster above said he did with his mat pull the old one out and shoe goo in a new one. Note some people dont have the knack to repair things some do and I dont know how you fit in on this :)

Just make sure not to get the goo inside the valve :( I have seen those valves at places that sell TaR mats. You might want to post this on MYOG for moral support

You beat me to the punch Eric, I was going to snap a pic of my faulty valve. I noticed on the last two trips that I would wake up with progressively less inflation by morning, thought maybe it was altitude, wasn't sure where it was coming as I couldn't locate any leaks in the body until I went to release air and noticed the valve stem was spinning freely.

I'll repair mine soon.

It may help to roughen the stem with sand paper to get a stronger longer lasting bond. Also as I recall T A R gives you a glue package but their mats bond the valve to a plastic block so their glue may not work with the fabric

DOH! REI doesn't have it in stock at most of their west coast stores and it won't get here in time for me to fix and get on the trail. I'll have to go with another option.
