Thinking of Caldera Cone for use with alcohol stove but also with my remote cannister stove. Is the sidewinder just as stable with a 2 quart Open country as the regular Caldera cone? Do you sacrifce stability for convenience of stowing in side the pot, or is that the way to go? Sam.

Since Sidewinders are shorter, to fit inside their companion pot, I'd agree that the Tri Ti sill has a wider base since it's taller for any given pot. Thus the cone has more length to get qa wider footprint.

Glad to know that only a Tri Ti is suitable for a remote canister stove windbreak. I'll continuse using my MSR windscreens with my WindPro and Dragonfly.
My Sidewinder is the smallest, for a 3 cup pot, so it would be highly unsuitable for a remote canister stove.
