Hi,

I currently have a Montbell UL Spiral Down Hugger #3. It's a great bag but it's just too small for me. I always feel trapped in it. Also the down shifts around too much and leaves cold spots. Anyway I'm looking for a lightweight (<2.5 lb), 25-30 degree, roomy synthetic bag. (is there such a beast?) I've looked on line at the Big Agnes Gunn Creek but I'm wondering if there are any others that I should consider.

Thanks,
Al

If you're amenable to the quilt idea you could look at a Prodigy from Enlightened Equipment

Tons of options but the largest quilt at 6'6" and cut wide is just under 2.5lbs and good supposedly to 15F with proper head insulation and sleeping pad.

They also offer the Prodigy X which is nearly the same but uses a slightly older version of insulation and cosmetic 2nds fabric which no one seems to complain (or notice) about to provide a very cost effective intro to synthetic quilts. They have a 30F quilt for under 2lbs and only $135.
