ah, ok. So there is only 5 of us if Julia joins.

If that's the case we can meet at the Southern end, throw everything in my car (and I'll definitely buy the car top bag now), and I can take us up to the Northern end. Then Monday someone drives me up to my car.

What was your timeline for Friday's drive?

If we can meet up at the same time at Southern end, that's the most logical way to drop cars.

Nathan and I will leave Norwalk, CT are around 12:30pm.

We'll probably be up at the Southern end (Appalachian Mountain Club, U.S. 302, Bretton Woods, NH 03575) ~7pm.

If Steven & Julia can get up there around the same time we're golden. If Steven & Julia are working a full day, then most likely we'd have to meet at the Northern campsite.

Steven, are you rocking the hammock on the trail even if Julia comes? Wondering how many shelters we'll have on this trip. Also, I don't know squat about the "below treeline" tree to hang from at The Perch or Nauman tentsites. *shrugs* I'm going to grab some screw hooks for tent platforms at the hardware store.

yea, the earliest I could see us getting there is around 8. Ironically, both trail ends are about the same travel distance from Boston…
How often does the shuttle run?

I don't know if Julia has a small tent, so we may end up bringing my Losi 3p, the only problem with is it's kinda huge. I'll have to see what we have available to us.

I've never had issue finding trees to hang from at the tent sites.

Ok, so I'll defer to Frank and Nathan, but looks like we'll meet you at the Northern end then. Dolly Copp only has one tent site left so I'm grabbing it now.

Hrmm… we'll have 4 shelters at this site, prob not going to work.

I have a 3 person big carp camping coleman tent. Maybe u bring your Losi and I'll bring my Coleman just for Friday night.

oh, for Friday I was also planning on bringing either my coleman car camping tent or just using the Losi.

I was thinking initially as far as the tent sites for Saturday and Sunday.

Ah, for Sat/Sun, yeah the less tents the better.

I gotta research those sites more.

I just know if the shelters have spots open I'll most likely sleep in my bug bivy in there.

Frank,

Can you give us a Google Map link or exact coordinates for the commuter lot you want us to to meet you in Storrs on Friday afternoon?

Thanks.

Frank, we'll leave Norwalk some time between 12-1pm on Friday. We'll call when we leave with an ETA.
