Here you go, a tent with NO stakes! And no worries about those stray pebbles digging into your back. But you better pitch it end first into those solar winds!

Roger, I guess your tunnel tents are more versatile than even you’ve given them credit for!

But, ugh, 5.70kg?!?!?! I guess weight is not a concern in space…

Which brings me to a question… when I was reading the Mars series by Kim Stanley Robinson, there were a number of passages about some amazing tents used on the Mars trail running. Just how would a tent work in a very thin atmosphere and gravity lower than earth’s?

Miguel,

The video on that link is quite funny.

We use silicone stripes or dots to keep our sleeping pads from sliding around but apparently they "sealed" their astronauts to the tent floor. L O L

John,

LOL! I never thought of doing it THAT way! That would definitely keep you from sliding around on the silnylon!

Hahaha! That was great. I loved the "prepare for re-entry"…and then the baloon pops and they plummet back to Earth. :)

I'm already in love with Captain Alex Infinity. Already.
I wonder if she likes slightly older men ?

Hi Miguel

LOL!
OK, seriously amused. Thanks!

Hum … OK against rain and snow showers, but I wonder how proof it is against gamma-ray showers?

No problems.

Cheers
