Going to be in that area in July. Any must-see/must-hike/must-camp around there? Red Rocks? Valley of Fire?

    TIA!

    Umm…

Are you aware of the average temps in July? Probably around 105F and you could see 115F plus. I hike and camp there a lot, even in summer. Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire are great in the summer… few people will be visiting.

Yup, aware of temps and water issues. 2-3 days max, leading up to a friend's "turning 40" party in Las Vegas. Figured I'm going to be in the area anyways for that, why not try to sneak in a couple days beforehand and see the area? Usually we either fly in, or just drive through … never really stopped to explore. Trying to remedy that … :)

Thanks for the information … will be checking it out!

Any particular thoughts on specific campgrounds or parking spots for access?

    Thanks!
