I hiked the JMT last summer. I wouldn't have even considered it without the information and inspiration here at BPL.

Andy, your trip report begins with a mountain photo with the caption, "Mount Ritter from Thousand Island Lake."

    Unfortunately, it isn't Mount Ritter.

The peak in the foreground is Banner Peak.

The peak in the background that can be seen only slightly is Mount Ritter.

You could change the caption to read, "Banner and Ritter" and then it is accurate.

There is no "Mount Banner" either.

Mount Banner or Banner peak, who cares? After 220 miles I don't remember all the names of the lakes, peaks, mountains, creeks, rivers or meadows either.

What's wrong with reading the trip report?

It was the title photo caption that first caught my attention.

Did you even read the trip report?
