As part of my winter sleeping system I am picking up a Jacks R Better Shenandoah summer quilt (45 degrees). My question is how much warmth the quilt will add to my bag’s temperature rating?
Right now I am using a MontBell UL Super Stretch #3 (32 degrees). Don’t worry, I will be picking up a MontBell UL Super Stretch #1 (15 degrees) for winter use.
My hope is that by adding the quit to my #3 bag I will be able to push it’s temperature rating down to 10 or so. I will also be able to use the quilt for summer trips and leave my heavier #3 bag at home.
Is this an unreasonable expectation for my sleeping system?
