Just picked up one at the REI sale. Wondering if folks find these too hot for use in the summer, I'll be using a temperature appropriate quilt and can vent a bit. Thanks.

No, not at all. The warmer the pad, the better assuming it is light which this is.

You should be fine. I have been using one this past year with a quilt and really liked it. Picked up a neo all season around Christmas and just bought the UL downmat with the REI 20% off coupon.

I already had a kookabay 24" x 60" R6 pad that has only seen 4 nights and a short downmat 7 original along with some closed cell, and three thermarests – I must have a pad fetish…

I bought one for my girlfriend this summer just gone down here as she wasn't sleeping comfortably on a self inflating pad anymore. Night time temperatures anywhere between 15 and 20C (59F-68F)

Best sleeping she has ever done outdoors according to her.

I think the R Value is 3.1 – doubt you'd get too hot and a warmer pad just means you can go lighter with your Bag/Quilt :)
