about the gear swap part of BPL

Mik, this is exactly the season when many backpackers are looking to finish off their gear kit, and maybe on a tight budget. The really savvy ones probably have some automation set to watch it.

You have to be fast or first one to see something. Not much there I want, but I look for stuff anyway. Stoves, mens Icebreaker shirts, down stuff. I had a response to a wtb ad for old stoves, found a rare stove and just picked up a down jacket that I had just started considering. Gotta be patient and keep at it.

How do expect to be able to grab the good stuff if you are not sitting in front of the PC 24/7? International readers means the sun never sets on gear deals!

Drink another Monster and get back over to the Gear Swap. I think an original floor-less Squall just went cheap…

Start making your own gear, it's lighter, cheaper and better. This way you don't need to wait for deals!

All be it a frustrated funny. :)

I'm trying to get a couple tarps and bivies so I can study their patterns to make my own!
