The extra pairs you purchases when you realized they were likely going to stop making them :)
Seriously though, there is nothing I have seen in the marketplace which is quite the same. If anyone else has found something I would love to hear it.
When mine wear out I am likely going to switch to pants I around town, likely either Royal Robbins Global Treking pants (nylon, slightly calendared on the inside) or a pair of MH pants (their version of supplex).

Cloudveil had nylon pants that weighed about 200g, but I think they no longer make them.
