chaco trail kicks?

I've got the Tedinho Pros on the way, and plan to do at least a brief review after I put them through their paces a bit…I'll post my opinions in this thread once I form them.

Just opened 'em up today…observations:

No "ninja toe" on mine, I think this design feature has been eliminated.

Two drain holes on each side of each shoe; water drains FAST.

The Footbed is NOT like that employed in their sandals. Standard running shoe/trail runner construction with a removable insole. This insole, while vaguely contoured like the original LuvSeat, is made of a very soft EVA foam which collapses readily. If you're looking for some metatarsal love, you'll need to add a metatarsal pad. Phooey.

They are really light…Like, you're average trail runner light. I'll find my scale soon…

All polyester canvas upper is simple, contouring, and burly.

Higher-friction fabric in heel area to aid in holding heel; semi-flexible heel counter; no protruding back seam.

Seamless rubber toe cap seems like it's well-attached to the rest of the upper; we'll see how it deals with repeated flex…it does, however, cover the oft-blown-out "little toe crease," which might equate to a longer life span…

Full-height gusseted tongue lays nice and flat. I don't even have to think about it; put in foot, pull laces.

Outsole is only lightly lugged, but very sticky. Would likely NOT work very well in muddy conditions.

A very nice, wide toebox which allows my toes to splay at will, while not feeling "sloppy".

It seems as though these are Chacos interpretation of a pair of high-top Chucks. They are very minimal in design, with a heel height of under an inch, and not very much of a drop at all. I could see these being very capable shoes for someone looking for a pair of "jack of all trades" minimal footwear that also provides a bit of ankle protection.
