I think we've all seen the threads mentioning concerns with the durability of the neoair xlite.

So just to share the other side of the story, has anyone used the xlite on 4-5 trips and had positive experiences?
I'm trying to determine if I should return mine. I figure if there's enough positive reports I might hold on to this thing.

Thanks!

I've spent at least 8 nights on my XLite regular in above and below freezing temperatures and it has been great. Every morning I've rolled it back up and stuffed it back in my pack in its little stuff sack. It's been a piece of cake to inflate and deflate as well. Except for once I've always put down a protective sheet below it; either the floor of my bivvy or tent, my hammock, or simply a groundcloth. I usually roll around a lot at night to get comfortable but this one lets me sleep comfortably on my back and side. It fits great inside my bivy and my Clark hammock, even when paired with a 0ยบ bag.

I have noticed some loss of the silvering on the edges only of the inside reflective barrier but I haven't noticed any loss of warmth. Since I bought mine at REI I am not worried about it; if the silvering all disappears I'll simply exchange it for a new one.

I've used mine for about 6 nights now and I really like it. I'm fairly rough on my gear and it's held up fine. I put it inside my bivy but don't use a groundsheet nor do I store it in the stuff sack. I just roll it up and place it near the top of my pack. I have noticed some of the silver/aluminum wearing off of the inside baffles but I haven't noticed any difference in temperature while sleeping. It's definitely crinkly but the sound doesn't bother me and when I do hike with people I've never had anyone complain. So far, so good.
