What inner net or Bivy do Solomid owners use?

Check out oookworks.com. A cottage manufacturer based in the UK, Sean has offered the "OookNest" for various shelters including Shangri-La 3, Duomid, and Trailstar (called the OookStar). He does a lot of custom work and lets you choose between a wide range of options including full mesh, ripstop, cuben, 30D silnylon, 70D PU and chikara. I have an OookStar on order with Sean. I went with partial cuben, partial mesh walls and doors, and a floor made from chikara.

I read his write-up and I think that's a real possibility. Glad to hear another vote for Oookworks. Wish I'd been on top of this earlier in the year as I doubt he can make one in the time frame I'd like. I may just suffer through with what I have and go ahead and order one from Sean for the next trip.

Check with bearpaw tents, he makes alot of inner net tents for different shelters. He will also customize them for you. The prices aren't too bad either!

I used a Cuben Solomid coupled with a Bearpawwd Pyranet 1 (with custom silnylon 12" side extensions for rain spash and privacy) on my A.T thru-hike last year and like it a lot. Saw about 90 days or so in the net tent – both handing inside a shelter, and setup under my SoloMid and it worked great. I opted for a full half moon door (vs. the regular D door) so it was easier for me to get in and out of and arrange my stuff under the tarp when it was raining. Good price – lots of custom options (just call and talk to him if you don't see what you want) and fast delivery (1-2 weeks if I remember right).

I have a BearPaw PyraNet 2 for use with my DuoMid. John will do custom work but out of the gates his nets have side tie-outs to pull the netting out on the sides.
