Question re: SoloMid w/Pacer Poles

I haven't used the PP , nor do I know how long they extend to – but I did use a Cuben SoloMid on my Thru of the A.T last year. I used the Black Diamond Trail Ergo Cork poles that extended to 145cm (but think I put them up around 135 – 140cm most of the time). I did not need a pole jack for my trekking poles. I also put them Handles UP (even with the angle in the grips (not as severe angle as in the PP)). I'd try it first putting the handles up and see if it works – if not just browse a few REI / EMS / or even Walmart type stores and try to find a cheap generic tip for them (you could probably even drill out the inside a bit if you needed them to be wider then they come. I just looked at the PP website and the tips look similar to most other trekking poles. If so, REI has several models to choose from:

The first pair is probably what you'd need, as they are just covers. The last two are used while walking, probably on hard rock or sidewalks to prolong the life of the tips. Finally, I'll bet you could find something around the house or at a hardware store that could be used.

I have PP, and use them with the DuoMid, you can place the handles down, or up. As for street feet, I have used several different types and they have all fitted.
