My girlfriend and I need to get new bags for backpacking. I hate mummy bags and she likes to snuggle so we're looking at 2 person quilts. Are there any pre-made quilts out there with synthetic fill? Looking to get down to 32 degrees and I'm a big guy at 6' tall and 250 pounds and she's about 5'8" I'd say. I wouldn't hazard a guess at her weight though. ;) Any opinions welcome.

I made one using Ray Jardine's kit that turned out pretty good and was fairly easy to make. What I really like about it is that it zips in half width wise so I carry half and my wife carries the other half in her pack.

I'll second the suggestion concerning the RayWay quilt. My wife and I have been using ours for years and we are very happy with it. Great instructions, easy to sew, relatively inexpensive.

Yep the rayway quilt is pretty much what we're going to buy unless there's a good alternative. Just looking to see if there's anything else out there.
