Does anyone who carries the Exped air pillow bother with the repair patches and glue? Reading the directions made the pillow sound rather delicate.

I never have, honestly it never crossed my mind until now.
I've used mine around 28 – 30 nights in the last year and have not had any issues with it.
I suppose I could use my air pad repair kit if I was carrying an inflatable pad at the time the pillow had a leak. Otherwise I would try some duct tape as a temporary repair or superglue and duct tape after that since I always have both of those.

I just take tenacious tape and a fast & light neoair repair kit for my sleeping pad.

But honestly… I have found this thing to be nice and durable. No issues here… and I would not consider one, unless I was hard on my gear. Which I usually try to be very considerate to it. Then again, when I wake up I put all my sleep system into a 50 liter drybag (2.6 oz) and then squeeze all the air out of it and put it away. This helps cut down on any chance that my gear (sleep system) is open to the elements at any point.

Hope that helps… that is my strategy.
