Any interest in a group trip to the Alps? I am thinking about the weekend of Sept. 28th thru the 30th.
Apr 29, 2012 at 9:28 am #1872407Love the Trinity. Grizzley Meadows from China Spring TH?
Apr 29, 2012 at 9:45 am #1872409Hobo Gulch trailhead would be a lot easier/faster to access. But agree that Grizzly Meadow and Lake are a worthy destination.
Longer hike from this end yes. But only a 1000 foot climb in the first 10 miles.
Apr 29, 2012 at 10:00 am #1872414Hobo Gulch TH is a lot more accessible. 16 mi hike though. China Springs TH quite a bit further. Only 6 mi. hike. I would like to do Thompson Peak on Sat. which would make the China Springs TH look a little better. My 2 cents.
Apr 29, 2012 at 10:59 am #1872426I am interested. Love the Trinities.
Apr 29, 2012 at 1:38 pm #1872469I would be very interested, I have been wanting to get to the trinity alps for a while now.
Apr 29, 2012 at 1:51 pm #1872477I had a great time last October and definitely want to go with you guys again.
Apr 29, 2012 at 2:07 pm #1872484Glad to hear it Chris. Any suggestions from you on a suitable location/destination out there?
Apr 29, 2012 at 3:37 pm #1872499Im in.

Apr 29, 2012 at 6:19 pm #1872542It really depends on whether we are going to be a large group again. There are so many great locations in the alps for a group to spread out though.
Apr 29, 2012 at 6:31 pm #1872547With the way it is going I imagine it will be a large group again. I would like to choose a trailhead that won't be a logistical nightmare for those who are coming a great distance and may be arriving in the dark on a Friday. Coffee Creek area perhaps?
Apr 29, 2012 at 7:43 pm #1872570Boulder Lake or Little Boulder Lake on coffee creek rd are both great group locations. I am not sure about logistics though, I suppose I could drive up there and check it out.
May 5, 2012 at 10:06 am #1874660Late to chime in, but always interested in going up there.
Jun 13, 2012 at 8:32 pm #1886741I have had a few requests to go back to the meadow as some would like a crack at the upper lakes.
And a general bump.
Jun 13, 2012 at 9:46 pm #1886758It's all good up there. You pick, Ken, and we'll follow.
Jun 14, 2012 at 9:29 am #1886871The meadow is good because it has room to spread out and trees to hang, I'm down to go back.
Jun 14, 2012 at 1:11 pm #1886920I'd be interested in a return trip. Had a great time last year. A bit of a drive for me but well worth it.
Jun 14, 2012 at 1:54 pm #1886935I'll consider a return trip, too. Quite a drive from Portland, but great company and nice to get to a different area.
Jun 14, 2012 at 4:40 pm #1886986Count me in.
Jun 14, 2012 at 6:49 pm #1887011Hello BPL friends,
I would be interested in a Trinity Trek. I hiked to Grizzly Lake via China Creek TH about 10 years ago and would be up for another trip. Many areas to explore above the lake.Bill
Jun 17, 2012 at 6:27 pm #1887778Hey all. I'm interested too. I'll probably have my wife along this time. We've been talking about a slightly longer trip including a visit to L lake. I'll follow this to see how the plan unfolds.
Jun 17, 2012 at 8:05 pm #1887810I've been waiting all year for the return trip;-> I'm in. Let me know once the date is a sure thing and I'll book my flight.
I wish I had a good suggestion for a route. I can see if my book has any suggestions but chances are you guys know it just as good.
Thanks for your efforts in advance Ken. I'm all for places to hang the hammock. If the route turns to be non-hammock friendly, let me know and I'll go to a tent setup.
Jun 17, 2012 at 8:22 pm #1887816Here's to a better trip for you this year, James!
Jun 18, 2012 at 9:53 am #1887951Thanks Steven. Sounds like you knew the drama I dealt with;-> I'll just appreciate more this time.
Jun 18, 2012 at 1:12 pm #1888024I'll keep you all in the loop. Will be heading up there soon.
