Hello all.

Looking to lighten my load while camping and want to switch to a Tarp and bug bivy setup.I have been reading a lot of the forums here and came across a Bug bivy/tent while reading. And now i cant find the post with the link, searching google has not brought it up.

It was a smaller company, and the reason it caught my eye was all the options for the bivy, you could pick which type of floor you want silnylon/cuben fiber, it was shaped with a pointed foot and high at the other end for the head and you could pick to cover the back panel and/or the foot panels with silnylon/cuben fiber. One of the only places i have seen you can choose the zipper location and size full length or half, right, left side. Lots of drop down options on the product page. I believe green was a common page theme.

Any help would be great. I know its not much to go on but its all i remember.

the one you're talking about is here: http://www.bearpawwd.com/shelters_floors/minimalist1_bivy.html

and another option that just became available is here: http://ulgear.blogspot.com/p/bug-bivy.html

I just recently made the decision to switch to bivy/tarp and went with the one from Borah Gear. It should arrive soon, but the owner was awesome to work with and got me exactly what I needed.

Whichever you choose, enjoy!

Edit: You're description was awesome, I knew immediately

Thats it! thanks!!!!!

Also thinking of his tarp the panel pull outs look like a really good feature that few tarps have. Not sure if i like how the net is close to the face on the bivy you linked. I like how on others you can sit up in the bivy. Its one of those things that i think i would need but might not.

So many options its worse then picking a tent!
