For those of you that use a groundsheet under your Tarp and/or Bivy. Where exactly do you place it? Is it fully under your Bivy with excess coming out on either side? My concern is the thought of it becoming a moisture funnel to direct any rain over spray under my Bivy, which while water proof, isn't a good idea.

A few inches in from the edge of the tarp. Same thought as you–don't want to channel water. I don't use a bivy.
