The only baffled down vest i could find was the Skaha Down Vest, which is a little pricey. I'm planning on doing the Long Trail this summer and want something warm enough for 40+ and obviously super light. Any thoughts?

Ah, the Hooded Skaha Down Vest? It works for me.
.
I recently ordered one of the Black Rock Gear down vests. It's the first vest I have ever used so I don't have experience with other vests, but it lofts up much more than my MB ex light down jacket. It weighs 4.2 ozs and has 2.2 ozs of down. The size large has an 'athletic' cut and snug but comfortable fit (I'm 6' 195 lbs). It feels warmer than the MB and keeps all the down right where it's needed. The SevenD material has a silky feel. It was too warm to sleep in on a recent overnighter.

Andy,is the Black Rock vest baffled? I thought it was sewn thru construction.
Anna,
The Cabelas is not baffled either.
"Baffled construction prevents insulation migration" refers to the separate chambers, not 3D baffling…
I do custom vests (and other down gear) – If you want a quote, send me an email at ben@goosefeetgear.com and let me know exactly what you are looking for!
My bad, the Black Rock vest is sewn through. BTW, my wife loves her Goose Feet down booties!
Ben made me a custom quilt. I highly recommend his work.
In 40+ weather, you don't need a baffled vest.
IMO, if you need baffled construction, a vest won't get you enough warmth regardless.
