Dear Friends,

In 2011, I organised a group sale of Bulin B5 stove for BPL members. The response was fantastic and I thank you all for your support.

I have been made aware of some serious quality issues with the B5 stove. The one thing I refuse to compromise on is quality. Although no one has me asked for a return or a refund, I am very sad that this happened. You trusted me and I am sorry that I failed to deliver the highest quality product.

In order to show my commitment to highest quality products, I am offering a $35 rebate per stove to everyone who bought a BULIN B5 stove from me. You can use this rebate on my new Vaprloft Quilts or any future products.

I look forward to your continuing support in my new venture.

Best Regards,

What's the story with the stove? What quality issues are you talking about? Are there any safety concerns? A little more info would be greatly appreciated.

Echoing Al here. I would love some more info. I bought a stove and I wanted to know what's up here.

The stove in the above link is not the same as one I sold. I don't think Bulin makes that model.

My issue is this: http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/xdpy/forum_thread/52723/index.html

The issue here is that the fuel line disintegrates when running in liquid (inverted) mode. This is the only report I have come across. Otherwise the stove works fine when canister is upright. FYI, I did not have the fuel line distingrating in inverted mode on my expedition.
