I'm planning a ~60 mile solo trip for the end of July. The leading contender is the CDT from Herman Gulch (near Loveland ski area and Eisenhower Tunnel) to the Hessie Trailhead near Nederland, Colorado.
Can any one give any info on this segment? (e.g. good camping spots, interesting side-trips, trail condition, etc).
