As has been said on on other threads, great product from a great company.
No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
Agreed. It's pretty hard to imagine a more visible guyline than the glowire.
While I'm at it, I've been meaning to plug Lawson's dyneema ironwire as a great choice for bear-bagging line. It's extremely strong for the weight – and proved itself in the field as a makeshift towline on a bicycle tour last October. The story: my not-exactly-triathlete friend (who shall forever remain unnamed) got tired at one end of Wisconsin's Sparta-Elroy State Trail, and leaving her at the end of the trail wasn't an option, so the solution was to tow her back using Lawson's ironwire. I formed a loop out of the line, then lassoed one end around the seatpost of my bike, put the other end through the frame of her bike, and then finally looped it around the seatpost of her fiance's bike, and off we went. Sure, it was a bit awkward, but it worked and we were actually faster returning than we were on the way out. The ironwire held strong and genuinely saved our day. Not bad for an ounce of line. Also makes great shoelaces.
Not really related to the Glowire, but any plans on getting you Ti-Hooke Stakes back in stock?
Thats a pretty cool story Joesph. Especially since it included my Ironwire : )
As far as the ti-hooks go, I have been waiting for more titnaium from the mill for months now. Once it comes in stock, I plan to offer the stakes one sale. Maybe $1.50 each : ) for a week or so.. Hopefully this will happen soon..
