I am wondering what shoes/sandals feel most like the VFFs. I love how connected with the ground I feel with the VFFs, but want something without individual toe boxes. I have tried the New Balance Minimus and the Merrell Trail Glove and do not like either at all. To me, they don't compare to the VFF as far as how well they fit my foot and feel the ground. I also want a toe box that doesn't restrict a "natural spread". Is there anything else out there? I want a type of shoe like this for all kind of activities (even if I have to buy different styles for different activities).

Try Mizuno Wave Universe 4. I have posted impressions on several recent threads.

I would try a merrel pace glove or roads glove.

Personally I find the arch support and springy cushioning in the Wave Universe to be too much but everyones feet are different.

Edit i should have read the original post.

Maybe try something like a Luna Sandal or Harraches

I logged on to tell you the MT10 Minimus do NOT feel like five fingers, but looks like you already know that. So I'll just second your opinion.

To others comparing the two this is not a knock on the MT10 by any means. I actually love mine and prefer them to vibrams, but they are not like running barefoot

Try the Altra Adams. I think they may be what your looking for. I did not care for taking the VFF s on and off and I needed to use toe socks to prevent blisters. The Adams have plenty of space for toe splay.
