Hi folks,
Helping some friends plan a trip to southern Utah toward the end of April, would love some input from you.

They have 5 full days out there, scenery and wilderness quality are the priority. Not driven by mileage, can do up to 7 miles/day. No rapelling or technical scrambling/climbing. Ideally they don't have to carry more than a day's worth of water. Have reasonable navigation skills, but wouldn't want to go super far outside of helpful-for-routefinding drainages. Did the Silver Falls Bench/Escalante/Choprock loop in Escalante a couple years ago, worked out well.

Any suggestions of great loop routes much appreciated! Esclanate's an obvious choice, but if there are other areas to check out, let me know…

Many thanks!

Thanks for the links! After some study, have narrowed the vastness down to some possibilities. Any experience or insight much appreciated. Have googled these, but if you have a particularly great link, please post that too! Many thanks!

Here's the possiblities:

Wolverine/Little Death Hollow Loop

Muddy Creek/Poor Canyon

Fence Canyon/25 Mile Wash

Fold Canyon to Fortymile Ridge trailhead

Paria Canyon-Hackberry-Hogeye

Dark Canyon – Basecamp, ramble around

Ashdown Gorge/Cedar Banks – Basecamp, ramble around
