I just saw someone posted a question on Gossamer Gear's Facebook page about this and they said they expect to release some this spring. Does anyone have any details? I'm wondering if it will be new packs or dyneema versions of current packs. Also,I wonder if it is cuben or woven dyneema. Gossamer Gear also said they are doing something exciting with The One. Guess we will have to wait and see.

They have been working on a burlier and improved Mariposa for a few years called the Big Ape. Hopefully that will be among the new releases.

April Fool's…

GG makes affordable products. I can't imagine them releasing a line of full dyneema packs.

Their shelters are certainly due, though, with the death of Spinnaker.

I think they mean dyneema grid, not the full dyneema like McHale or Cilogear. GG used a lighter version of the dyneema grid on the new Murmur.

Likely not full Dyneema. They will soon be releasing one of the packs that was reviewiewed in error last November. This is targeted to be inbetween the Gorilla/Mariposa and a throwback to the Miniposa, ie, slightly larger than the current Murmur; Sort-of an inbetween pack. It will weigh about 1 pound, but I am not sure about any stays, features. The old eview was more or less a prototype…not really a preproduction model. Soo, I expect the slanted top to go. But, I sure hope they return a 2800ci pack to the line up. The older Miniposa (I still use it) was a da*n good pack. The larger left hand pocket was nice for packing stove and other "wet" items (stuff that can get wet) like the tarp, stove, pot, fuel bottle, etc. Cup and water bottles *just* fit into the right hand lower. Daily food, trail trash, fits well in the right hand upper pouch. Really well done.
