Looking for a lighter sleeping pad for warmer weather, and don't really need much pad insulation here in Tennessee this time of year. I've been looking at the Neoair Xlite, and the BA Clearview, and both have been mentioned quite a bit here. But I haven't been able to find one mention of the Airmat Basic 7.5UL, which, at 12.5 oz. for a 70"x20"x3" pad seems pretty impressive. Anybody using it? Thoughts? Thanks!
I have the Exped basic 7.5 in a medium. It runs about 20 oz in the stuff sack. I've had it a couple of years. I like it. I'm mainly a side sleeper and just don't think I can do the thin foam pads anymore.I also do not winter camp so it works good for me.
i have one in a small that i bought for my daughter when we go camping since i only bring her on warm weather trips. its very small when rolled up, even smaller than my my neoair, and inflates really easily with the dual valves. it has been used for multiple nights with no signs of wear at all. if you only planning on camping where it'll be 45 degrees or warmer at night, you'll be happy with it.
