Just spent a little time this morning and shaved some weight from my kit. Here is how it started:
First Aid: 1.4oz/42g
Fire: 4.0oz/ 115g
Repair: 0.4oz/ 14g
Total: 6.1oz/176g (including 5g for ziploc)
Finished like this:
First Aid: 1.1oz/ 33g
Fire: 2.1oz/60g
Repair: 0.4oz/ 12g
Total: 3.8oz/109g (including 4g for smaller ziploc)
Total loss of 67g.
A few g's could probably be shaved from my first aid kit if I took out a few meds but I don't really want to have to restock after each trip. I have probably 2 doses of each since I mostly do over nights or 2 nighters. Definitely happy with losing some weight and not spending any money.
