How big is your food bag? For a 7 day trip?

I am doing a few training hikes and I'm trying to simulate my pack weight for my CT hike. I'm using my climbing rope (which is a little more than my heaviest food bag at any time on the CT would be, at 15 lbs) and that darn (I really can't say d*mn?!?!) thing takes up so much room in my pack.

…if I can reliably get water to do FBC methods, I figure on a liter for my cook kit (it nests), and a liter a day for food & fuel (alcohol). So about eight liters, two gallons, or 460 cubic inches for a week. That's probably a little overkill, but I usually also carry some RTE food for snacks and lunch.

It's also worth noting that I use a wood burner for heating water for my dinners, and my alchy stove is only a backup and to make "coffee" in the mornings.

I use the Zpacks Blast food bag, it's about 730ci and Joe claims it will hold 5-7 days of bulky food. Seems about right.
