I may be on Platypus Soft Bottle kick, but can I carry my alcohol for my alcohol stove in a soft bottle? I generally use Everclear.
Mar 19, 2012 at 1:17 pm #1856083I've carried denatured alcohol in one for three years without an issue. I'm making the switch to Everclear as soon as I've used up my current stock of Ace-Brand Denatured.
To make the comparison more valid, I've also carried my Scotch in a Platypus "Lil Nipper" without issue for the past eight years. Go for it!

Thinking about it, there is nothing fancy at all about the cheap plastic bottles containers used for the alcohol sold in our drug stores.
