Don't know if this was just at our local store or national, but my wife picked up a lightweight but thin down jacket and vest at J.C.Penney's in Williamsburg, VA this morning, $5 each! The vest weighs about 6.5 oz and the jacket with hood about 9.5 oz. Brand is Xersion. I called and they only carried this in Women's. I think the regular price was over $70.
They are fairly thin, for moderate conditions, not for really cold conditions. I think the down jacket will replace the fleece jacket she normally carries.
