been thinking about this.
Seems that might be able to take driducks raingear, and easily lighten it by replacing some areas with lightest weight cuben, while maintaining other areas that are more difficult to make and still maintain some breathability.
For instance, cut pants off around crotch, and make cuben legs, just tape them. Tape should adhere to driducks i would think., or sew if need be.
Or cut out jacket from mid chest down , cutout around zippper to keep that, and tape in a cuben panel
Or, even simply, lengthening jacket by 10" so can use cuben chaps.
anyone done anything along these lines ?
Mar 17, 2012 at 5:52 am #1855118Taping to dry ducks should work fine if you use the 3M Primer 94 Adhesive Promoter along with it.
