Hey, I'm gonna be in Denver for a week (a conference for work). I've never been, never even seen the rockies. I won't have any time for any real adventures but I'm wondering if anyone has some recommendations for places nearby I should see. Overlooks, maybe a short day hike, good photo opp types of things.
Like I said I've never been before and will have some free time during the day a couple days of the week. Any advice is appreciated.

Roxborough State Park is close by, not too high up in elevation and Carpenter's Peak will have great views of the Rockies:

The high country itself will still be a bit snowy (if not good for skiing…sigh) but these foothills hikes are nice as well. (It is where I play in the in-between seasons!)
