Just wondering if anyone can offer some advice regarding the Shelby Nallo pattern.

I'm looking at making a cheap hoody or two based on the design and was thinking of using a fleece or similar to keep it cheap and allow me to make some mistakes without shelling out for some expensive softshell material.

I'm UK based, and was looking at

A bit heavy, but should be easy for me to work with?

All different, and different properties. But which would be best? and most useful?

What are you planning on using your jacket for?

The heavy material looks like it is very tough, but for most backpacking uses it's probably overkill. I'm not exactly sure what the 2 other materials are, but I very much doubt that the blue material is truly waterproof.

Just a mid layer while walking, I have a waterproof jacket that's light enough to carry so was looking for something windproof/ nearly windproof and fairly warm.

I imagine the blue coated polyester microfibre is more likely to be water resistant than waterproof I think it might be the best choice for a general use jacket, and then use the polar fleece for a warmer version?
