I've never looked into altimeter watches.
Are you familiar with this one or where it stands with other?
Suunto appears to be the gold standard for altimeter watches. I have heard this stacks up pretty well with them though. Suunto is more well known.
Thanks for the tip. I ordered one to play with. I don't usually wear a watch, but I have been looking for something similar.
I had one. It's a good watch, they seldom have problems, the battery is user replaceable, and it measures to the nearest meter. if I didn't have 2 altimeter watches, I'd get one!
Also, it has a barometer that will warn you about bad weather. Pretty nice!

I've had bad luck with Highgear watches. Buttons are hard to press, screens jump around. I will not be buying another one. (Can't help wondering why so many used ones suddenly appeared on Amazon…)
