I'm going to be camping in some pretty seriously windy conditions and I'd like to be able to safely put a windscreen around my Pocket Rocket, and I can't seem to find either the Brunton or Markill adaptors. Any suggestions? It seems like switching it to a remote canister would be the safest way to do that.
Edit: Actually, I might have answered my own question! If the other end fits a standard canister?Mar 5, 2012 at 1:30 pm #1849103
Also, this looks awesome: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mini-aluminum-folding-outdoor-bbq-camping-stove-windshield-111329 if you can remove sections.Mar 5, 2012 at 3:30 pm #1849166

If you are interested in a Brunton Stove Stand I'm pretty sure I know where you can get one for a reasonable (less than original cost) price plus shipping costs for your preferred method.Mar 5, 2012 at 3:41 pm #1849170
Jim, I would be interested–drop me a PM!Mar 5, 2012 at 4:06 pm #1849196

Actually, that stand only works with the "spray can" looking 100% butane canisters. That stand will not work with standard threaded canisters.Mar 5, 2012 at 4:40 pm #1849224
Thanks Jim, that's sort of what I figured. Any suggestions for standard threaded canisters?Mar 5, 2012 at 6:19 pm #1849285
I'm still seeing the type that will work with standard threaded canisters on eBay. These are not Brunton, though. Quality? I can't say one way or the other..
Looked like the other Jim had an actual Brunton one for you, yes? If so, then you're set. Otherwise, if you become a member here, you could put a "WTB" (want to buy) notice on the Gear Swap, or you could try eBay.Mar 6, 2012 at 1:52 pm #1849697

FWIW, I saw a couple on eBay:
Alocs CS-G07 GAS ADAPTOR FOR FLAT CAN with STAND and gas valve About $26 including shipping. 190g. Threaded canisters only.
1 SET MULTI-USE GAS ADAPTOR FOR LANG CAN AND FLAT CAN About $21 including shipping. 204g (but includes more judging by the photos). 100% butane "bayonet" canisters or threaded canisters.
Hope that helps,May 9, 2012 at 1:36 pm #1875918
