New MLD products/New SUL products from other companies?

I would venture to guess that MLD is coming out with a lot more Cuben Fiber products just by looking at the weight of some of the gear on the page right now. I wouldn't want to give away any information I may have already received, but Ron visits here fairly often and may be willing to offer some input. Although, the new ULA Amp may have some competition, oops… it slipped, I swear :).

We have set a launch date of Feb 5th.

In the first round of products will be 3 packs, 10 tarps and 4 bivys and the eVENT rain mitts.

Sleeping bags, hammocks, shelters, misc gear, ponchos, fun info, etc will be added after that as soon as we can.

(In my avatar, it's a SoloMini cat cut cuben tarp at 3oz.)

You'll have to wait a week for all the details…

The new site will have a sort-by-weight-feature. ex: On the page with all the tarps you can sort them by weight, from 3oz to 28oz as it stands now.

The site will also have a full featured shopping cart for credit cards.

I wish someone built a Cuben pyramid tarp like the ones used for the Arctic 1000… OWare don't seem to sell them.

Ron, do you ever get requests for pyramid tarps?

We have two mids planned for later in Feb.
One in .97 Spinntex, about 8X8 size and around 15oz and a Spectralite/Cuben one at 8X8 and around 11oz. $TBA

In a two+ person SUL shelter the mid is hard to beat.

Designing a solo SUL fully enclosed shelter is much tougher!

Thank you all for your answers, especially yours, Ron. That 3oz tarp looks good, if it can be used without a bivy, I'll be one of the first to buy it!
