For the last 3 years I've been using the Merrell Moab Mid GTX boots.
http://www.merrell.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/12464M/0/Mens/Moab-Mid-GORE-TEX?dimensions=0

It's the only shoe I've used to date that is waterproof, yet somehow very breathable and doesn't give me any blisters.
The downside is I have to replace them about every 300 miles. Which is worth it for me for the comfort.
I know many try to avoid waterproof boots, but they seem to work for me when I cross snow patches or puddles, etc. (I'm open minded in case someone has a good argument against this)

However, at 1 lb 15 oz, I'm interested in replacing them with something lighter. Any suggestions?

Here's my top 4 criteria:
1. Weight
2. Similar fit to merrell
3. Breathable
4. Waterproof

I hear that the Keene eVent boots are very durable.

I currently have Merrill Moab Mid GTX boots and like them a lot. But I'll try the Keene's next.
