Excellent work!
That looks really good! How long do you think it took you? A quilt will be one of my next projects I think.
Excellent job, pretty much looks like a WM Ultralite or FF Swallow (in other words very high praise). Should keep you mum nice and toasty!
Off the charts professional looking Shows patience and skill.
Please tell me this is not your first bag.
Wow! Looks very professional. Nice job
Haha, I hope you're ready for order requests…
(that's a compliment)
looks really, really good
Thanks for the kind words…
@ Sam-I'm not sure exactly how long it took me…I finished most of it over the weekend, probably working 5ish? hours both days. Add a couple hours of cutting and figuring out the tricker design elements. Quilts are far easier.
@Daryl-Second mummy bag (although the first had a less complicated hood), but I've also made a decent number of quilts (synthetic and down) and a few down jackets.
Wowza! That is a nice looking bag.
17 ounces of down! Should keep her toasty
This looks like an immaculately constructed bag–crazy awesome! What is the approximate girth at the shoulders and feet? I wonder how much this would weigh with M50, 12 or 13oz of 900fp down, half-zip, 6'2" length, and a slim cut (a la WM Summerlite)? That would be the perfect bag. Anyways, nice work!
Footbox is 38" and it's about 60" at the shoulders. Next project is one for my wife with pretty much what you describe (M50 with probably more like 15 oz oz 900 fp)
sweet !!!
is that a sewn through ? how did you do the footbox (there is no photo) – just cloesed it like the zpacks one or an oval end?
